NCRI are looking for your ideas to accelerate cancer research
12th July 2018
The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) launches 'Beyond the Horizon' meeting series, providing a platform for conversations to accelerate progress in cancer-related research
The number of people diagnosed with cancer every year is set to grow to around 22 million by 2030. This is a global challenge, and one that requires faster progress and a more coordinated approach. Advances in research related to cancer bring unprecedented opportunities and challenges, for which we need to proactively bring the cancer research community and other stakeholders together to address.
Beyond the Horizon is an ambitious new meeting series from the NCRI that aims to facilitate knowledge-sharing and generate dialogue across disciplines with a view of accelerating progress in cancer-related research. It will provide a platform to enable the right people to come together and have the right conversations at the right time to develop proactive approaches to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities.
The NCRI are looking for people to suggest topics in areas of potentially transformative science, technologies or approaches relevant to cancer from across the research spectrum and patient path, or in fields that are not currently applied to cancer research, that require a platform to drive faster and more efficient progress.
Think Beyond the Horizon, and submit your ideas today.
