Oral and Dental Studies
We oversee research that deals with conditions from nutritional deficiencies, genetic conditions and general infection to systemic and dental diseases. Our studies take place in a range of settings, including hospital in-patients, dental hospital outpatients and primary care. We work to promote the successful delivery of research studies in the NHS and to help plan new studies that will address patient’s needs. We support a wide range of research studies including:
Trauma and Emergencies Studies
We support a wide range of research studies including: Common acute care conditions (such as trauma and cardiac arrest) Diagnostic tests used in acute care (such as point of care testing and imaging) Development and testing of new technologies
Diabetes
NRS Diabetes was commissioned in 2006 by the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) of the Scottish Government to improve the quality and increase the quantity of diabetes research in Scotland.
